The reality is Caldwell was in a no win situation. I think the fact they are trying to lose to take pressure of them is actually creating pressure and distractions to this team heading into the play-offs. By the way, fans who pay big money to buy tickets to NFL games after week 12 or 13 are idiotic anyway. look at the slate of games this week only like 3 or 4 matter and starters will be resting all over the league.

Point taken, but pundits were talking about this probability the entire week. They asserted that Caldwell was a Dungy descendant, and that the benchings would probably happen. Buyer beware (or reluctant seller - really, there's eBay!) . And, like I said, 2.5 quarters in this situation is a pretty good deal. Did anybody really expect anything different? Thanks for your comments.

Also, does Manning really strike you as someone who would let himself get out of game shape? And is this a possibility when he's playing the majority of the interim games?

Pay $500 for a ticket to sit field level and then make this argument...The system is flawed when teams can take weeks off after they have clinched. I hope to see Peyton's "pouty face" soon enough when he gets out of game-ready shape and crashes and burns in the playoffs.
